Shortly before the start of the UN-ESCAP workshop on biodiversity (on which a separate report will follow), a short visit to the Gochan tidal flat. Time was not really good, arriving almost at low tide. Anyway, a number of waders, Common Greenshanks, Dunlins, Grey Plovers, Terek Sandpipers, Common Sandpipers, Little Ringed Plovers, Far-Eastern Oystercatchers, Eurasian Whimbrels, Far Eastern Curlews, and others. Many of the smaller waders close to the waterline were too far to identify them. Additionally, a number of Blackfaced Spoonbills, one of them ringed. Birding before the workshop was good for the mood!
